I work as a freelance journalist, most recently for ITV’s Tonight programme – Britain’s most-watched current affairs show. I can often be found writing about labour rights and the fashion industry for Guardian, Al Jazeera, i-D, HUCK Magazine and the iPaper. This work has taken me to Bangladesh, Kenya, Morocco, and recently to the Topshop warehouses in Solihull. I am currently working on my second book.
In the past I have worked for CND and as a documentary maker at the Islam Channel. Media appearances include BBC Breakfast to discuss the Rana Plaza factory collapse, and BBC Woman’s Hour with Jeni Murray.
Stitched Up events include the Shakespeare & Co. Bookshop in Paris, lectures at Kings College London & Central St. Martins; Barbican panel events, TRAID symposiums, the For Books Sake online book club...plus zine fairs, conferences and more festivals!
I live and work in London and I have a BSc in International Relations from LSE and a Masters in Broadcast Journalism from Cardiff University.
